What is The Rock Boat?

Think TRB XI can’t possibly be topped? Nonsense.

Join us as we put an end to some unfinished business in New Orleans! We’re setting sail March 1-5, 2012 aboard the Carnival Ecstasy headed down to Cozumel, Mexico and back – all while enjoying 4 full days of non-stop musical madness at sea. As we float through the Caribbean, you’ll witness loads of amazing shows, one-of-a-kind artist collaborations and even take part in awesome theme nights and incredible artist-hosted activities. Did we mention you’ll be doing all of this onboard a full-service cruise ship with multiple pools, bars, restaurants, 24-hour room service and a full casino? It’s a unique experience that you can only find onboard The Rock Boat!

Join Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, The Alternate Routes, Carbon Leaf, Tim Brantley, the Freddy Jones Band and many more to be announced as well as your hosts Sister Hazel! We’ll be keeping some of your favorites from The Rock Boat’s past, and mixing in new but guaranteed soon-to-be favorites you haven’t discovered just yet!

Don’t miss out – this will surely be the Rock Boat of all Rock Boats!

What information will I need to book my cabin?

Cabin Selection: During booking you will select the cabin category and occupancy you want to book, so check out the pricing page.  You will select your exact rooming assignment, so it wouldn’t hurt to become familiar with the Carnival Elation’s deck plans here.

Sixthman Usernames:  Every guest must have a Sixthman Username.  Anyone who has traveled with Sixthman previously or signed up for The Rock Boat XII Pre-sale has a username and will not need to create one. To create one, click here. For forgotten login credentials, recover them here; you can also contact us and we will be happy to look them up for you (try our live chat feature or contact us).

Guest Permissions: Lead Passengers, PLEASE NOTE!  Have your guests create a username and add you to their Approved Lead Passengers list.  (In the Guest Permissions section, they need to click "Add New Lead Passenger" and enter your username.)  Once they're done you'll see them in Your Authorized Guests list and you'll be able to add them as a guest in your cabin while booking.

Naming Guests: You can add your guests later but fees may apply.  See "Can I make changes to my reservation?" here for more details.  Be advised that you are obligated for the full cruise fare of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process.  In the event that you do not add guests, you are still financially responsible for the entire cabin.  If you wish to add guests beyond the capacity of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process you may do so based on availability for the additional cruise fare associated with the transaction.

Multiple Credit Card Payments: If you are paying with multiple credit cards, you will need all of the credit card numbers (with expiration date and card verification number) as well as the name and billing addresses for each card.

How do I let someone add me to their reservation?

To let someone add you to their reservation, you'll need to have a Sixthman username and add your lead passenger to Your Approved Lead Passengers list.  Create a Sixthman profile here, or login to your existing profile.  Then, in the Guest Permissions section, click the "Add New Lead Passenger" button and enter your lead passenger's username.  Once you save it, they'll appear in Your Approved Lead Passengers list.  You're all set, the lead passenger can now add you as a guest in their cabin!

What is a Sixthman Username, and how do I create one?

Each guest needs a Sixthman Username to create, manage, or be added to a reservation.  Sixthman Usernames can be created while joining a pre-sale, making a reservation, or by clicking here.

If you signed up for the pre-sale or have traveled with Sixthman previously, you have a username and will not need to create one.  If you don't know your username, you can recover it here.  You can also contact us and we will be happy to look it up for you (try our live chat feature or contact us).

What if I want to book a single occupancy cabin?

Guests traveling by themselves in their own cabin are responsible for the double-occupancy rate of the cabin. Single occupancy cabins will be charged Taxes and Fees for only one guest, and will receive a discount of $199 off the second cruise fare.

If you place your single occupancy reservation online please contact us upon completion so we can add the single occupancy discount.

What is the Independent Traveler Program?

If you are planning on joining us for The Rock Boat XII, but you haven't been able to find someone to go with you, don't worry - this is the program for you!

The Independent Traveler Program (ITP) allows you to book a cabin and only be responsible for your half of the cabin (plus the standard taxes and fees of $179.00). However, by signing up for the ITP, you agree to (potentially) be paired with another guest who is also participating in the ITP. We will pair you based on availability (with the potential of not being paired at all). Full details can be found here.

Interested? Have questions? Please call us at 877-379-9173 for this unique opportunity!

How does travel insurance work?

Sixthman has teamed up with Travel Insured (TI), which specializes in marketing, managing and servicing travel insurance and emergency assistance services.  Travel protection provides you with the necessary coverage to help safeguard your travel "investment" from unforeseen circumstances such as:

  • Illness or injury to you or a traveling companion or immediate family member causing you to cancel or interrupt your trip
  • Jury duty
  • Job layoff or termination
  • Terrorist events
  • Bankruptcy or default of your airline, cruise line or tour operator
  • A hurricane that strikes your trip

This coverage must be purchased before your final payment due date. Coverage for all benefits except trip cancellation will begin on the departure date. The trip cancellation benefit will begin at 12:01AM on the day after TI receives your application. For pre-existing conditions to be covered you need to purchase Insurance within 14 days of your deposit.

Travel Insured also offers Cancel for Any Reason Protection (not available to residents of Washington State.) The Cancel for Any Reason option must apply to all passengers on the same application and is only available when selected at the same time as the original plan purchase and when the plan is purchased within 14 days of the passengers initial trip deposit.

Download our Insurance PDF for more details about this TI program.

We know you might have questions about what is and is not covered so we encourage you to read the online brochure or call Travel Insured at 1-866-684-0218 and specify you are calling about Sixthman Travel Protection.
